Actually, thanks to my publisher, I've been on Goodreads for over a year. Honestly, I haven't paid much attention to my Goodreads author listing. That was probably a mistake. Hoping to learn from that mistake, I've updated that listing, added a couple of photos, changed my bio, and started promoting the Nick Temple Files. The first promotional step I've taken is to submit Silent Vector for a giveaway which is awaiting approval from the folks at Goodreads. I'm giving away three paperback copies of the book. The obvious idea of the giveaway is to create interest in the book, and the other Nick Temple Files, and, with luck, boost sales of all three titles. Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical. My previous experience with a giveaway was that it primarily attracted people looking to score a free book. Fair enough. Maybe I did a poor job of follow-on promotion. I'll be more aggressive this time around to see if I can't achieve better post-giveaway results. In the meantime, I'll keep working the site to see what it has to offer me both as an author and a reader. Stay tuned.
