My copies of Silent Vector arrived this morning. Given the amazing power of technology, this is the first time I've seen the completed product in a non-digital form. The manuscript was created on a laptop, the cover and interior ideas and final designs were exchanged and approved via email, and the book is currently listed exclusively with on-line retailers. Obviously I knew what to expect when I opened the box, but I have to say that it's still a thrill to hold the finished product in my hands, turn it over, and leaf through the pages. That may sound silly or vain, but it's the simple truth. My guess is that other writers feel pretty much the same way.
