Progress on The Flemish Coil, the 4th Nick Temple File

I haven't looked at this story for a few months now, so picking it back up was slow going at first. Just trying to remember some simple plot points proved to be a challenge, but that's behind me now. After reorienting myself I managed about 500 words, a good day's production. Given that I'm back in the thick of it, I'm hoping for more like 1000 words a day for the next few weeks. I'd like to have a manuscript/first draft done by the time September rolls around. We'll see how it goes. If the past is any indicator, once the story starts to really reveal itself, progress should be swift and fun. I'm hoping that this 4th Nick Temple File is more of the same. No reason it shouldn't be. In case you're wondering what the hell a "Flemish Coil" is, check out the picture below. I first heard the term many years ago when I was learning to sail. My first thought was, in all honesty, "That sounds like the name of a spy novel." And soon it shall be.
